Fresh blueberries brought record export revenue of $16.5 million

🫐 Last year, fresh blueberries brought Ukrainian farms a record export revenue of $16.5 million, making them more profitable than apples for exporters for the first time.

In terms of annual revenue in the fruit group, blueberries were second only to walnuts and frozen fruits and berries

🍎 It is worth noting that apples are exported from Ukraine almost throughout the year, while blueberries are not subject to such long-term storage and the export season usually lasts from July to October. Thus, this amount of revenue is generated in just 3-4 months.
