Experts predict that the global sea buckthorn market will continue to grow. Five years ago, its total market was estimated at USD 1.4 billion, but according to forecasts, this figure will reach USD 2.4 billion in 2027.
In Ukraine, the trend towards the development of industrial sea buckthorn plantations is fuelled by consistently high purchase prices. And the production of this berry increased by almost a third between 2019 and 2022. Currently, European varieties predominate in the plantings, but some farms also use varieties of domestic breeding.
