The flowering period of blueberries is quite sensitive to temperature changes and weather conditions. Frosts have a particularly negative impact, as they can destroy most of the future crop during flowering and ovary formation, as was the case in many farms a few years ago.
Fortunately, this year forecasters predict a rather mild start to May, so barring any unforeseen conditions, we hope for a good harvest this year.
